AvtoVAZ says resumes Lada Niva Legend model production

MOSCOW, Jul 13 (PRIME) -- AvtoVAZ is resuming production of the Lada Niva Legend model on its Tolyatti facility in new configuration Classic'22 to cope with dwindling supplies of foreign components, the company said in a statement on Wednesday.

"AvtoVAZ has resumed production of three-doored out-roader Lada Niva Legend in a new configuration of the 2022 model range. The Classic'22 version will be the first developed to achieve an as high as possible local manufacturing of the car, to exclude the influence of deficit of imported components," the statement read.

The carmaker has announced downtime many times earlier this year and had to change the dates of corporate vacations to April 4–24 from summer.
